Sadhana. Raga-Bhakti. – Ananta Das Babaji

Bhakti is for the whole universe. Not a Bengali person. Not a UP person. Not a western person. Bhakti is for the whole universe. No Bengali man. No western man. For everyone. Sat-sanga, do puja, read books, hari-nam, hari-katha will clean your heart. Gradually practice. Keep your heart clean. With memory of lila, of course chanting hari-nam. Do sadhana. Do lila-smaran. Pleasure, happiness. Chant hari-nam and do lila-smaran. Going fast, even if you chant 3 lakhs of naam, it will still be vaidhi-bhakti. Gradually taste will come. Taste will come for rag-bhakti. Rag-bhakti. Ruci. Raganuga-bhakti. Ananta Das Babaji

Raganuga Bhakti – Ananta Das Babaji

Posted on:

On the path of raganuga-bhakti, meditating on the divine pastimes is the main sadhana, however in the primary stage we are not qualified for lila-smaran (meditation on the pastimes). Therefore, we should concentrate more on hearing, chanting and following the other rules of bhakti. Then as our consciousness gets more and more purified, we are drawn towards lila-smaran. Slowly our smaran becomes more intense. Ultimately when we reach the zenith of bhajan, lila-smaran naturally becomes the major part of bhajan. Srila Ananta das Babaji

His name is Govardhan and he destroys all one’s miseries replacing them with the supreme bliss” (Preyo-bhakti-rasarnava) hantāyam adrir abalā hari-dāsa-varyo yad rāma-kṛṣṇa-caraṇa-sparaśa-pramodaḥ mānaṁ tanoti saha-go-gaṇayos tayor yat pānīya-sūyavasa-kandara-kandamūlaiḥ Of all the servants, this Govardhana Hill is the best! O my friends! This hill, blissful with the touch of the feet of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, along with their calves, cows and cowherd friends, gives respect with all kinds of necessities—water for drinking, honey, very soft grass, caves, bulbs and roots. (SB 10.21.18) • Raghunath Das Goswami’s verses on Sri Sri Govardhan highlight the madhurya-rasa mood perfect for the raganuga sadhana one should cultivate towards Govardhan Hill, as opposed to a fraternal […]
